This is one of the core activities of the Corporation. The SICOP has contributed significantly in creating the basic infrastructure for the SSI units in the form of establishing developed industrial estates throughout J&K.
The Project wing is Headed by one General Manager at each Division. He is being assisted by Project Engineers at the Divisional Level and AEE/JEs at the District level. Project wing is developing/maintaining Industrial Estates managed by SICOP. In order to have optimal use of project wing, SICOP is also undertaking deposit works of various Departments/Corporations Like Industries & Commerce, Handicraft Department, Geology mining, EDI, JKI, KVIB, Election Commission. The Sanatghar, Bemina which houses all departments/Corporations has been constructed by SICOP.
At present SICOP is managing 58 Industrial Estates (including 14 industrial Estates under development).
SICOP has recently allotted land In Industrial Estate Vessu, Aglar, Redbug, Wuyun and Gran Morh Reasi. In Jammu/Kashmir Division , the Industrial Estates which are under development, land shall be allotted thorough online system only once developmental works are completed.
All the Industrial Estates are being provided all infrastructural facilities like Road network, water supply, internal Power distribution, drainage system besides CETP, Common facility Centre, which houses Conference Hall, Bank Counter, Dispensary, ATM, Cafetaria etc. SICOP also established Receiving station through which units are being provided dedicated power supply.
Other facilities provided are office for Pollution Control Board, Fire Services, petrol pumps, insurance, raw material depots, window market facilities, green patches, street lighting, many garbage collecting vans etc.
